And they flew…

And they flew
Like doves in a war
Against the tide they rose
Against the needs they soared
Awaiting their arrival
Were a sleet of clouds
Showering them the blessings
To retain the hope
For they had the will
of an undying samurai
And the peace of a sage
To fathom the wells
of kindness and love
And hope kindled the fire
Of an undying wish
Of an unearthed art
And they flew
above the clouds now
Away from the flesh and blood
Towards the land of souls
And they derived from the land
A sense of detachment
For they had now
The power of hope.
